Croton Plant

The “Croton Plant” is a series of 8 Croton plants in a pot. Each plant has a different pot style and color. Only 8 were ever made, each is numbered.

The leaves are made of vellum, and then coated with a polymer. The branches and trunk are made from strands of twisted wire, and then coated with a marble saturated polymer. The turned wood "pots" are about 1" tall and each is a different shape and color.

22 hours was the average time it took to complete each sculpture and its unique box.

Espeletia Schultzii

“Espeletia Schultzii” is a jungle succulent that can get as big as a tree.  This sculpture is done in the 1/12th scale, (1" = 1').

The plant is in a 27" x 27", (2 ¼" x 2 ¼") planter with a miniature copy of the coffee table book the plant was pictured is on the planter.  The sculpture is on a base made to look like a flat stone patio with a 5" diameter Plexiglas  cover, the total height is 8".

The Espeletia Schultzii sculpture took 25 hours to complete.

Split Leaf Philodendron

“Split Leaf Philodendron” is a series of 10 pots full of Philodendrons.  Each, a different pot style.  Only 10 were ever made, each is numbered.

The leaves are made of vellum, and then coated with a polymer. The vines are made from strands of twisted wire, and then coated with a marble saturated polymer. The turned wood "clay" pots are about 1" tall, give or take a quarter of an inch, and each is a different shape and colored with one of five colors.

32 hours is the average time it took to complete each sculpture and the unique box it comes in.

Rose Bush in a Clay Pot

“Rose Bush in a Clay Pot” is a series of 10 tiny sculptures of rose bushes, each a different color, with the same number of blossoms, leaves, stems, etc.; each in a different clay pot.

The rose petals are made of vellum, then coated with a polymer filled with marble dust. The leaves are made of liquid polymer, ringed with a .005” diameter wire frame. The branches are made from strands of twisted wire, then coated with a marble saturated polymer. The “clay pot” is about 1” tall and was turned out of wood on a mini-lathe. On the average, 28 hours was needed to create each bush.

Each bush comes in a special fold down box.

Rose Bush in a Barrel

“A Rose Bush in a Barrel” was a series of 10 rose bushes. In each, a different color rose blossoms. Only 10 were ever made, each is numbered.

The rose petals are made of vellum, and then coated with a polymer filled with marble dust. The leaves are made of liquid polymer, ringed with a .005" diameter wire frame. The branches are made from strands of twisted wire, and then coated with a marble saturated polymer. The barrel is about 1" tall and the staves are walnut wood.
